Apply the eyeliner to grease- and powder-free skin from the center of the eye outward. Then place the pen at the inner corner of the eye and draw a line towards the center of the eye, connecting both lines.    

The eyeliner has a super long, tapered tip that allows you to draw a narrow line, or easily thicken the line by holding the pen a little flatter and applying a little more pressure. One stroke is all you need, there is no need to draw a line several times to make it visible.
